Back from being away
“I worked for over 4 years at Morssinkhof - Rymoplast on Dieselstraat, in production. After that, I worked for about a year at another company in Groenlo as a warehouse employee. I wanted to find out which job would suit me best, and that turned out to be at Morssinkhof. I like working with my hands and don’t like sitting still. Since April 2022, I’ve been back at Morssinkhof Plastics (Dieselstraat) as a production employee.”
Daily tasks
“I work in 2 shifts and start with the shift handover. Then I’m stationed at a mill and check what is being ground, inspect the quality, and verify the material and the knives. If the regrind, for example, gets too hot, the knives need to be replaced; this is also part of my tasks. What I like most about my job is the variety, and it’s always a challenge to keep everything running smoothly.”
Passion
“My passion? My children! I have 4 of them—what a blessing. It’s a source of inspiration to see their development, and it makes me super proud. I also love running and cycling (mountain biking). I’m quite proud of the half marathon (21 km) I ran and the 7 Hills Run (15 km) in Nijmegen. There’s not much on my bucket list, but I would like to go road cycling in the mountains sometime, or cycle for a good cause, for example Alpe d’HuZes.”
Company Culture
“What I really like at Morssinkhof is that there are so many different people, as well as different cultures. You get quite a lot of freedom, as long as you take responsibility. People are open to initiatives—if you have a good idea, they listen. Everything is negotiable, which is great. The atmosphere is informal, I have nice colleagues, and together we have fun outings.”
The future
“In 5 years, I also see myself working at Morssinkhof. I’m open to growth, learning, and development within the organization. I’d like to progress to team leader and maybe even obtain my truck driver’s license.”
