Back from being away

"Worked at Philips for almost 13 years, was at home on long-term sick leave due to an accident, and after completing a program I ultimately had to look for another job. I was approached by a secondment company and introduced to Morssinkhof Plastics, initially for a mechanic position. I still needed to brush up on some electrical engineering to become an all-rounder. A position as shift leader became available and, given my work experience and strong CV, Morssinkhof found me suitable for this role. I became very enthusiastic and accepted it. It just goes to show: when one door closes, several others open."

Passion

"I like doing DIY projects, repairing equipment, walking in the forest or on the beach, grabbing a drink on a terrace, watching movies and series, gaming, and helping elderly people with groceries and odd jobs."

Daily tasks

"I lead a great team of approximately 15 people. I make sure our team works safely every day, the factory is tidy, policies are followed, and employees are working in the right place so all machines run optimally. In addition, there are also administrative tasks that are part of my responsibilities."

Company Culture

"The 1st impression was that I was quite surprised by what the world of plastic recycling looked like. I find the multicultural collaboration between people very beautiful, and in addition the freedom in your work, being allowed to think along about solutions and improvements."

The future

“At the moment, I am comfortable in my role as a team leader, but I am never done learning and am open to further development in the future at Morssinkhof.”
